For this QT, we would like to invite all members, especially our new members to join us to explore issues concerning our identity and sexuality as members of the LGBT community.

Our discussion during this QT will be focused on "Coming Out", which is an act, whether mental or physical, whereby lesbians or gays
become open about their feelings and sexual orientation, which is very often a crucial part of themselves which had been hidden from
knowledge, a secret even the secret keeper is afraid to keep.

When a gay or lesbian person comes out, it is as though he or she is 'coming out of the closet', to allow him or herself to escape from the suffocating confinements of fear, guilt, doubt and confusion, to be free from the darkness of secrecy and to come into the real world for once, as a real whole person, ready to realise his or her fullest potential as a full fledged human being.

Coming out, is hence vital in the development of a strong self esteem for lesbians, gays and bisexuals.

During this QT, we will be examine the different levels of coming out, the pros and cons of coming out, the process of coming out and the how-abouts of coming out, among other things.

We would therefore like to invite all members, who will be free next sunday, on the 15th January, to join us in this discussion, with the aim to discover more about ourselves, and to aid ourselves in our journey towards self-empowerment and fulfilment.
