  THE HANGING GARDEN (1997) UK/CANADA

It's hard to go home... ten years after your death.

This is film to be followed properly, as it dealt with with story-telling in a few layers.  Flashbacks were often enough to confuse a viewer, but still, it is a film worth the attention if one appreciates a different story plot in a gay themed film.  When William (Chris Leavens) returned home for his sister's wedding, he confronted the horror of his upbringing, even the years when he was a young, oversized William.  And the flashback concerned his gay encounter with his soon-to-be brother-in-law, Fletcher (Joel S. Keller).  Complicated story-line.  The interesting scene was when a young Fletcher tried to get it on with a young, fat William, in the compound at night.
