Another fine gay themed film from UK.  Closeted school boys, Maurice (James Wilby) and Clive (Hugh Grant) fell for one another, but kept their love interest a secret, as the society of that era did approve of such affair.  Anyone caught would be prosecuted.  The affair ended when an open gay friend of theirs was caught.  Clive freaked out, and got married, leaving Maurice to mend his broken heart on his own.  And then came Alec (Rupert Grave), a gardener for Clive.  Maurice had an affair with him, but within the closet world itself, discrimination existed.  Maurice was worried for Alec belonged to the lower class, unlike his position.  Would such love work?  Contains nudity of Rupert Grave and James Wilby.
