Shane Meier acted as Matthew Shepard, in this TV movie, based on true story.  The cold, heartless murder of gay young man, Matthew, sparked nationwide protest in America, calling for an anti-hate crime, to protect the gay community from any further bashing from gay haters.  The film covered the years of Matthew's discovery of his sexual orientation to the day he was killed in a brutal way.  A touching story that could bring tears to the eyes.  Simply moving... Stockard Channing acted as Matthew's mother.  Sam Waterston acted as Matthew's dad, Dennis Shepard, who delivered the important, touching speech at the end of the court days.
