KARAOKE CUM LUNCH GET TOGETHER 2004 - REVIEW

James
First, thanks to all who attended our first karaoke gathering (will be more next time). It was fun to sing along and to listen to others singing. I know that we're not singers but we all are stars. Isn't it? So, we got total of 14+2 stars that afternoon, namely Bern , Brandon , Rahim, Jeff, Wong, Zemien, Karls(KK), Raymond, Victor, Zaidi, Darrel, Rohit, Benjamin, myself, and also 2 unexpected guests, Joe and Marc. Raymond and Victor were surprise to me. Now I know next time if I want to go karaoke, I got companions to look for. Of course KK sang my favorite singers' songs well also. (You like A-Mei and Jacky Chan?) And others were so encouraging and sporting too, especially when we sang the malay songs. I will remember "Kau Ilhamku", "Layer Impian" and "Bukan Cinta Biasa". Next time will be more. (So sad I missed out "Bunga-Bunga Cinta" lar!) At the beginning, we were bit shy to sing (may be hungry???), but after an hour or two, we got warm up and everyone were enjoying (I think???). Winter Warmers offered us a good location to talk and to see men (and
women???) passing by. We were there until the rain stopped, about 6.15pm. On my way to Bukit Jambul, the rain was so heavy and I was so happy. It was just because of you all the lovely friends. (Rahim will agree with me!?)

P/s:
- Ray, Vic and KK, welcome to our gathering and glad to know you guys. Hope to see you all in our next activity-Bowling!
- Desmond, Beng, MC and Andrea, remember to join our next karaoke session oh!
- Zemien, take care and all the best in KL!

Zaidi
I find the karaoke outing quite a revelation. Victor and Raymond have such beautiful voices, it was a delight listening to their rendition. James, the organiser turned out to be a singer as well, hitting the high notes easily. Zemien was sporting enough with his own choice of very upbeat songs. Jeff ,
what can I say? He was shy and nervous but when he chose to sing a Malay song by Ella - verybody joined in and he actually can sing!!!!

Bern and Brandon left too early. I only heard like one song from Bern and no song from Brandon at all. KK, don't forget this guy. He too sang very well indeed.

Definitely lots of latent talents here in the group. The shy ones .....errrm Rohit, Rahim, Benjamin... next time, we want to hear your voices loud and clear . Darrel..thank you for being sporting but I'm sure you can do better given enough time to choose the appropriate songs.

I ...tried my best not to be too annoying. Anyway, I had fun. Just wishing that people who were there earlier stayed on until the end. We had a wonderful time at Winter Warmers soon after the karaoke session ended . As usual ,story and experience sharing was always exciting especially listening to juicy bits from those 'innocent looking' ones . Of course, looking at the parade of guys passing by - helped keep our good sense of humuor and lust.

Farewell to Zemien. May he have a wonderful time in KL and hopefully not forget us in Penang .

Raymond
Jeff was actually the 'revelation' of that day.. all along the event, he was very quiet and shy, but when he sang the Ella song, I must say it did surprise me, and I told Victor, Wah, the unique voice did give us a pleasant surprise... James, yes, hope there are more karaoke outing coming along, you can be assured that if we are not hit on something important, Victor and me will be the participants, I'm sure KK will not miss it too..

Rohit, we need to do a special request to Redbox Karaoke for the Bollywood Song..pity we couldn't find 'Kuchi Kuchi Ko Ta He'(some sort spellling like that lah ;) I hope to hear those who did not sing that day to initiate a revelation in coming event..maybe Zaidi can bring a guitar and we can ask them for a short presentation? ;)

Zemien, farewell. I do like your writing a lot, but I wasn't having much chance to garner learning from you regarding the writing skills..;( maybe next time..

I apologize for those who I didn't greet well or chat with..time was limited that day (members: "of course, you hold the mic all the time"..sorry..;p

right place, right time, and right people have made the right gathering.

What are you waiting for! Come join our upcoming activities and make new friends, nurture bonds, get support, all while having fun!
